Our Mission

Rocky Start Rescue was founded in 2021 with a mission to rescue the animals that needed us. We specialize in reptiles and exotic animals, providing a safe space and new homes for some of the most impulsively purchased animals. Since our beginning, we have rescued over 200 animals, done public outreach, and as of 2023 we are licensed to rehab wildlife in the state of Michigan.

With our license to rehab, we take in all small mammals, and specialize in raccoons. It's our mission to educate the public while showing compassion to animals that are orphaned, injured, or otherwise in need of help to get back to the wild.

Our rescue is run on donations and the hard work and dedication of our board, along with the help of volunteers and supporters. We couldn't do it without so much love and support!
